Starting and running a BNB Smart Chain (BSC) node is about to get easier.
BEP-593 introduces incremental snapshots for node operators to stay in sync as the chain data grows. This feature will be introduced alongside the upcoming Fermi Hard Fork.
Here’s what will become possible:
🔸 Bootstrap from a recent monthly snapshot of 120GB
🔸 Apply small incremental updates to catch up instead of re-downloading a massive full snapshot
For BSC node operators, this means less data to download and faster sync times, all while staying fully backward compatible with existing snapshot workflows.
